INTRODUCTION TO G-S COURSES

G-S Courses present a range of courses designed to promote understanding relating to mental health issues.

Our lead facilitator on the courses is Ian Gillman-Smith, BSc(Hons), MSc(Econs), CQSW, RSW, MBASW, UKCP regd. Psychotherapist.

Ian Gillman-Smith is a Personal Construct Psychotherapist registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy.

He is also a registered Social Worker with the General Social Care Council. He has worked part time for a North London NHS Mental Health Trust, in management with a Psychological Therapies Service  as a Consultant Specialist Psychotherapist.

Other aspects of Ian's professional involvement is as an Independent Social Work Consultant, and he is the chair of the Personal Construct Association.  Ian teaches and facilitates in a variety of forums.

Many of these courses are designed for mental health practitioners who work with clients who are subject to the Mental Health Act (1983).

Other courses available are designed for corporate business and organisations and will explore aspects of stress management.

Our courses are typically held in London, Liverpool and Manchester during March/April and October/November.
